Lewis Hamilton: “This has always been a strong circuit for me”
Lewis Hamilton ended both Friday practice sessions at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on top as the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS driver started his Canadian Grand Prix weekend off in an almost perfect manner. Despite a few off track moments at the final chicane, which Hamilton was not alone in doing, the reigning World Champion led the way in first practice before repeating it in second practice, despite most of his focus being how best to use the compounds of tyre brought to Canada by Pirelli, especially the Ultrasoft, which is in use for only the second time following its debut last time out in Monaco.
