Alonso: 11th the best place to start

– Fernando Alonso reckons 11th position will be the best position for McLaren-Honda to start the Canadian Grand Prix, given the free choice of starting tyre compounds outside the top 10.Pirelli has brought its Ultra Soft, Super Soft and Soft tyres to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, with the purple-marked rubber likely to be used by all drivers in a bid to reach the pole position shootout.Alonso, who ended the first day of practice 11th, feels that missing Q3 could be beneficial."We were able to try a few interesting things, including all three tyre compounds, which will for sure be the most interesting element this weekend," said Alonso after Friday's practice...
