Hamilton quickest in second Canada session
Mercedes AMG Petronas Lewis Hamilton continued his strong form as he clocked the quickest time during the second practice session for the Canadian Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver moved to the front of the pack with a time of 1:14.212, set on the Ultra Soft tyres, ensuring he completed a clean sweep of Friday’s sessions. Hamilton finished the session 0.257s clear of Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, with Nico Rosberg third for Mercedes, half a second behind his team-mate. Red Bull finished fourth and fifth with Max Verstappen 0.012s in front of team-mate Daniel Ricciardo, albeit with the pair almost a second down on Hamilton.
