Heineken and Formula 1 confirm multi-year sponsor deal

Dutch brewing company Heineken has announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with Formula 1, which will see the beer brand become a global partner and sponsor of the Italian Grand Prix this season. The partnership, which has been described as 'significant' will see the Italian GP renamed the Formula 1 Gran Premio Heineken D'Italia 2016 and will run for a multi-year term, confirming a new deal with Monza race organisers. As of 2017, Heineken will sponsor three races - which have yet to be named - as well as additional trackside advertising at 'several' races.
