Ultra Soft tyres to be used in Singapore
Pirelli Media Pirelli has confirmed the tyre compounds which will be taken to the Singapore Grand Prix, which takes places in September. Under 2016 regulations, compound choices for 'flyaway' races must be announced 14 weeks in advance of an event, compared to the eight week deadline for European races. The Ultra Soft, Super Soft and Soft tyres will be used, the fourth time Pirelli is set to bring such a combination to a Grand Prix. The purple-banded rubber made its debut in Monaco last weekend, with Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton using the tyre for over half of the race distance en-route to victory.
