Palmer accident caused by painted road markings

Monaco Grand Prix – Jolyon Palmer crashed heavily during Sunday's race in Monte Carlo, but escaped injury. Renault's Jolyon Palmer endured a nightmare weekend on the streets of the Principality. Tapping the barriers at Tabac on Thursday, he spun at the Swimming Pool during Saturday practice. He viewed Saturday qualifying as a 'good salvage job' after claiming P18, but his fortunes weren't to change on Sunday. Starting behind the Safety Car, the field had just been released to start racing when Palmer lost control on the main straight.
