Rio Haryanto: “It's been a tough day”

Rio Haryanto felt his opening two stints of the Monaco Grand Prix were good, but dropped off the pace thereafter, ultimately finishing four laps down on race winner Lewis Hamilton, and two laps behind team-mate Pascal Wehrlein. The Manor Racing driver bemoaned having to run off line to allow drivers to lap him during the race, which the Indonesian racer believes caused him to run slower than he could have done, with his tyres losing temperature on the wetter parts of the circuit. Haryanto felt it was a privilege to race in Monaco, but is now looking forward to the Canadian Grand Prix, feeling the Montreal circuit should suit his Manor team better.
