Red Bull explains Ricciardo's tyres stuck at back of garage Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull team apologises for the pit-stop error that cost his victory from Pole in the Monaco Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton won his first race of the season after taking a perfect strategy to stay out on wet tyres on a drying track, although he benefitted the lead by a matter of metres after Ricciardo had to endure a pit-stop that took 13.6 seconds when his tyres were not ready. Hamilton then held the Red Bull car off for the rest of the race.
