Palmer caught out by 'appalling traction' on white lines
Jolyon Palmer has admitted he was simply caught out by the lack of traction at the start of the Monaco Grand Prix, which saw him crash out. The Renault driver lost his car on a zebra crossing which crosses the start/finish straight, which saw him spin-off left into the barrier before coming to a rest in the tyre wall at Ste Devote. 'The traction was appalling after the safety car and I got caught out,' he declared. 'I had wheelspin in fifth gear on the white line that crosses the track.
