Kvyat cleared of floor deflection infringement

The Monaco Grand Prix stewards have decided no further action was needed following their investigation into Daniil Kvyat's car after qualifying. Kvyat's Toro Rosso failed the post-qualifying technical checks after it was found the car did not comply with front floor deflection tests. However, the stewards accepted the team's explanation that Kvyat had hit a kerb too hard and had damaged the floor. Kvyat will start the race from eighth place. "The team produced evidence that the car suffered an impact which reduced the downforce and resulted with a slower lap time than in Q2," said a stewards' statement.
