Kvyat cleared over failed floor test

– Stewards at the Monaco Grand Prix have cleared Daniil Kvyat to start from eighth place on the grid, after Toro Rosso cited floor damage for a failed post-qualifying check.Kvyat's Toro Rosso underwent a check in which the "vertical deflection of the floor under a load of 4,000 Newtons exceeded 5mm – a breach of Article 3.17.5 of the FIA technical regulations."Toro Rosso met with the stewards, who accepted the team's viewpoint that an impact with the kerbs reduced the downforce, leading to a slower Q3 compared to Q2."Therefore whilst technically the car failed to pass the deflection test, the stewards have decided not to impose any penalty," read a...
