Verstappen admits misjudgement in Monaco qualifying crash

Max Verstappen admits he misjudged the level of grip available when he crashed out of the first segment of qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. On his second outing since being promoted to Red Bull, Verstappen was on first hot lap of Q1 when he broke his front-right suspension against the inside barrier at the Swimming Pool chicane. From there, he was powerless to control his car as it slammed head-first into the barriers exiting the complex, ripping off the front-right wheel and bringing out the red flags.
