Ricciardo moves clear in second session

Red Bull/Getty Images Daniel Ricciardo emphasised Red Bull’s credentials at the Monaco Grand Prix as he stormed to the quickest time during Thursday’s second practice session. Ricciardo moved to the front of the field with a 1:15.015 on the Ultra Soft tyres before improving further with a time of 1:14.607. Ricciardo’s time proved to be 0.606s faster than Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, who led the way during the morning session. Hamilton encountered an unusual incident towards the end of the session when, while sat in the garage, the front jack bounced back and hit the nose of the W07 Hybrid, causing a minor dent.
