Wehrlein downplays 2017 Mercedes chance
– Pascal Wehrlein has insisted that he is not thinking about a Mercedes seat in 2017, despite Nico Rosberg being out of contact at the end of the year.Rosberg has been with the team since 2010 but has not yet penned a new deal to remain with Mercedes beyond the end of 2016, while Wehrlein tested for the squad last week in Spain.Wehrlein, Mercedes' reserve driver and part of its junior scheme, says thinking about the possibility of a move from Manor to Mercedes would be a distraction."Yeah there could be an opportunity but in the end I cannot influence it, only with my own performance on track I can influence it," he said."Otherwise I don't think about it, it can...
