Haryanto still seeking funds to see out F1 season

Rio Haryanto is seeking funding to see out the Formula 1 season with Manor, as his manager said the Indonesian only has paid to contest the first 11 races. Haryanto became Indonesia's first Formula 1 driver this year thanks to the financial support from the government, joining Pascal Wehrlein at Manor. Speculation about Haryanto's future was rife earlier this year after it was revealed he was trying to get more funding through a text messaging scheme. Haryanto's manager Piers Hunnisett said on Thursday in Monaco that his driver has only paid to race until the Hungarian Grand Prix.
