Ricciardo favoured over Verstappen

Australian Daniel Ricciardo has been favoured with the one upgraded new engine available to Red Bull for this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix, a move that leaves record-breaking team-mate Max Verstappen racing with less power. The new engine from Renault was tested in post-Spanish Grand Prix testing at the Circuit de Catalunya last week and two have been made available by Renault – one for their works team and one for customers Red Bull. The Renault F1 team engine will be given to Dane Kevin Magnussen for this weekends classic test on the Mediterranean street circuit.
