Magnussen apologised for team-mate clash

Kevin Magnussen apologised to Jolyon Palmer and the rest of the Renault team after clashing with his team-mate in Spain last Sunday. Magnussen was handed a time penalty in the wake of the grand prix as the stewards deemed the Dane responsible for their final lap clash. Magnussen, who was on a new set of soft tyres, easily caught his team-mate on the fresher rubber and tried to pass. However, instead he collided with Palmer and forced the Brit wide. The duo, though, returned to the track with Palmer still ahead in P13 and crossed the line as such. Magnussen later dropped to 15th place as a result of the time penalty.
