Vandoorne hopeful of fighting for ‘very different' Super Formula crown
Barcelona Testing – McLaren reserve and reigning GP2 Champion Stoffel Vandoorne says he's hopeful of fighting for this year's Super Formula Championship but admitted hard times could lie ahead. Vandoorne is racing in the Super Formula Championship in Japan this season, dovetailing the racing season with his McLaren duties as reserve driver. Speaking to media ahead of his testing outing in Barcelona, Vandoorne says that fighting for the title of Super Formula Champion will be a tough ask this year as he adjusts to a different approach to racing.
