Alonso rues poor start, software issue

– Fernando Alonso was left to rue a sluggish getaway at his home Grand Prix in Spain, which came to a premature end after a software issue stopped his engine.Although Alonso ended the opening lap one place higher than he started, as he flashed past in ninth, his position was distorted after the Mercedes drivers collided.He dropped behind team-mate Jenson Button, who had lined up in 12th, and spent the best part of his race in dirty air before a gremlin impacted his ICE element."My car felt OK, but I didn't manage to make a good start and lost everything – my race was effectively over by the first corner," said Alonso, whose engine will undergo checks."After that, I...
