Magnussen penalised for Palmer collision

– Kevin Magnussen has been handed a time penalty and two points on his license after he collided with Renault team-mate Jolyon Palmer during the closing stages of the Spanish Grand Prix.Magnussen was deemed culpable in an incident which forced Palmer off-track and the Dane was slapped with a 10-second sanction.The penalty drops Magnusen from 14th to 15th, behind Sauber rival Felipe Nasr."Car 20 [Magnussen] was on a new set of Soft tyres, and Car 30 [Palmer] was on an older set of Hard tyres leading the driver of Car 20 to have significantly better grip and speed," read a statement issued by the stewards."However, the stewards determined that Car 20 could not have...
