Alonso told to stay behind Button in the race
Fernando Alonso was disappointed not to be able to show his true pace in the Spanish Grand Prix after McLaren asked him to stay behind teammate Jenson Button. Alonso started from 10th position, two places ahead of Button, but a poor start meant the Briton emerged ahead at the first corner. The Spanish driver revealed he was ordered to stay behind the Briton, but he reckons he was the faster of the two. "The start wasn't too good and then I was behind my teammate all the race and that was it," said Alonso. "I was quite a bit faster, but it is what it is.
