Verstappen makes history as Merc duo collide

Max Verstappen Max Verstappen produced a sensational drive under pressure from Kimi Raikkonen to claim a maiden win in a Spanish Grand Prix that saw the Mercedes duo clash. The Red Bull rookie became the youngest driver to win a Formula 1 race as he nursed a set of tyres for 32 laps to the chequered flag from Ferrari’s Raikkonen, who shadowed the 18-year-old for the final third of the race. Verstappen’s history making victory arrived on his debut for Red Bull having been promoted from Toro Rosso for the Barcelona race.
