Rosberg stays ahead in final practice session
Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg maintained his strong form as he topped the final practice session at the Spanish Grand Prix. Rosberg clocked a time of 1:23.078 to eclipse Lewis Hamilton by 0.126s during Saturday morning’s one-hour session at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Rosberg’s time was set on his first hot lap on Soft tyres before he spent a brief period in the pits when his Mercedes W07 Hybrid went into limp home mode. Rosberg’s advantage came in the final sector, with Hamilton having gone fastest across the first two sectors before failing to match his team-mate during the last few corners.
