Rosberg puts Mercedes top in Spanish FP2 as Ferrari stay within reach

Nico Rosberg topped the second practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix, displacing the Ferraris which had topped the opening session in the morning. The Mercedes driver posted a best lap of 1m23.922s, just a couple of hundredths better than Sebastian Vettel managed in the morning, to put himself two-tenths clear of Kimi Raikkonen in second. Lewis Hamilton meanwhile finished third fastest, albeit seven-tenths adrift of his team-mate, to split the Ferraris with Vettel fourth. Carlos Sainz put himself ahead of both Red Bulls as he looked to prove a point following Max Verstappen's promotion to the sister team over himself.
