Pascal Wehrlein: “I hope we will see some good progress here”

Pascal Wehrlein has made an impressive start to his Formula 1 career, with several standout performances for the Manor Racing driver, most noticeable in Bahrain where he outperformed Sauber and Force India drivers. The Mercedes protégé is happy heading into this weekend’s opening European race of the season at the Circuit de Catalunya in the knowledge that he will not have to learn the track, and he is interested to see how the car has developed since they last ran on the circuit back in pre-season testing. “It will be nice to get straight into the programme here without having to think about acclimatisation,” revealed Wehrlein. “Although I didn’t race here in my early...
