Pirelli confirm compound choices for the 2016 British Grand Prix
Pirelli have confirmed the compounds they will bring to the tenth round of the 2016 Formula 1 season, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The three choices are Soft, Medium and Hard for the British Grand Prix that will take place in July. The Italian tyre manufacturer have said that one set of Medium and one set of Hard must be available to each driver for the race, they must use at least one of them at some point. Following the changes to regulations ahead of the new season, each driver must save for the final part of qualifying (Q3) one set of the softest of the three nominated compounds, this being the Soft compound for the Silverstone weekend.
