Nicholas Latifi will not run FP1 in Canada

Canadian driver Nicholas Latifi will not run during Friday’s Free Practice 1 at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal next month. Motorsport.com has learned that the Toronto native is not scheduled to be behind the wheel of one of the R.S. 16 Renault F1 cars on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal June 10. Thursday, the 20-year-old completed his first test with the Renault Sport Formula One Team at Silverstone in England. The Canadian completed 140 laps of the British circuit aboard a Renault’s V8-powered E20 F1 car from 2012 (né Lotus). “No announcement yet on where Nicholas will drive FP, but I can confirm that it will not be in Montreal”, a spokesman for Latifi’s management...
