Verstappen thanks Red Bull & Marko for promotion

Spanish Grand Prix – Newly promoted Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has thanked the team for giving him the chance to step up to the senior squad. Verstappen, who made his debut last year with Toro Rosso, has been promoted to one of the Red Bull drivers with immediate effect. He replaces Daniil Kvyat, who has stepped down to the Toro Rosso squad after Red Bull took the decision to swap them after a poor race weekend from Kvyat in Russia last time out. “The next step in my relatively short career so far, is an amazing opportunity.' enthused Verstappen on Thursday.'
