Russian GP double points-finish big relief for McLaren McLaren-Honda duo Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button opened their 2016 Formula 1 season points-scoring accounts with respective sixth and tenth place finishing positions in the Russian Grand Prix. The Spaniard successively made an impressive performance and finished with sixth from 14th on the grid – team-mate Jenson Button, who started from 12th, managed to finish tenth following a difficult first lap running. 'We were lucky in the second and third corners but we saw last year that after good starts we couldn't retain positions and today was different,' Alonso told Sky F1.
