July deadline for cockpit protection decision

Formula 1 must decide by July whether it will adopt the halo or the aeroscreen as cockpit protection for next year's championship. Following the halo's debut in pre-season testing, Red Bull unveiled their aeroscreen in Friday's opening practice for the Russian Grand Prix. The paddock is divide as to which of the two is the better option with FIA race director Charlie Whiting confirming that a decision must be made by July 1.
