Bottas to start from front row due to Vettel penalty

Russian Grand Prix – Williams' Valtteri Bottas will start from P2, having qualified a great P3 on Saturday at the Sochi Autodrom. Bottas claimed P3 at the end of Q3, going quicker than the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen after the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton fell by the wayside at the end of Q2. Just Rosberg & Vettel went quicker than Bottas but, with the Ferrari driver taking a five place grid penalty for a gearbox change on Friday, Bottas will thus start from the front row alongside Rosberg.
