Lewis Hamilton quickest as Sebastian Vettel hits trouble in second practice

Lewis Hamilton was quickest as second practice for the Russian Grand Prix came to a close on Friday afternoon, despite a spin and some technical trouble which kept him in the garage for 15 minutes. The Britain’s 1m37.583 was the quickest lap of the weekend so far and gave Hamilton a 0.652 second advantage over second placed Sebastian Vettel in second. The Ferrari driver looked quick on the super-soft tyre but the session wasn’t all positive as he came to a halt on the start/finish straight, causing a brief Virtual Safety Car as his Ferrari was recovered back to the pitlane.
