Mercedes, Ferrari spend tokens ahead of Russian GP
Mercedes and Ferrari have confirmed they have each used tokens to upgrade their power units ahead of the Russian Grand Prix. As the two manufacturers ramp up their fight for the 2016 F1 World Championship, Ferrari has arrived in Sochi with a revised front wing and engine package, using three tokens in the process and necessitating a change of engine. Mercedes, meanwhile, used two tokens for alterations to components outside of the sealed perimeter (thus not requiring a new engine), while the team has confirmed that customers Williams, Force India and Manor have all received the same update. by Ollie Barstow
