Rosberg tops FP1 in Russia

Russian Grand Prix – Nico Rosberg was fastest in the Friday morning practice session by a leisurely seven tenths of a second to team mate Lewis Hamilton. The World Champion had a spin at turn 2 early in the session, otherwise there is no explanation as to why Rosberg is so much quicker than Hamilton in the early stages of the weekend. Hamilton goes into the weekend with a 36-point deficit to his team mate after poor results in the first three races. Ferrari had a difficult first session but still proved to be the second fastest team on the grid.
