Barrier changes made at Sochi after Sainz crash
Russian GP: Changes have been made to the barriers at the end of the run-off area's around the Sochi Autodrom, following Carlos Sainz Jnr's high-speed impact at last year's Russian Grand Prix. The Spanish driver had a high-speed crash into the TecPro barriers at turn 13, and the Toro Rosso was stranded underneath the barriers, with Sainz lucky to not come out of the accident with any serious injuries. According to the FIA, further wall blocks have been placed before the TecPro barriers begin, in a bid to avoid a repeat of a Sainz-like incident. Revisions to the track have been made at turn two, to avoid corner cutting, where a 25 mm negative kerb as well as artificial grass...
