Frustrated Alonso says McLaren had enough speed for Q3

Fernando Alonso admitted he was "extremely frustrated" after a red flag robbed him of a chance of going into Q3 in qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix. The McLaren driver will start from 12th position after being unable to complete his final flying lap in Q2 as the session was red-flagged with over a minute left when Nico Hulkenberg lost the left front wheel of his car. Alonso reckons both him and teammate Jenson Button had the pace to comfortably reach Q3. "It was super frustrating to not be able to set a time," said Alonso.
