Suspension problem triggered Magnussen failure

– Renault Racing Director Frédéric Vasseur says that a problem with the suspension on Kevin Magnussen's RS16 was to blame for lack of running at the Chinese Grand PrixMagnussen completed only six laps in the first session before he appeared to suffer a left-rear suspension failure, which also caused damage to his tyre.Pirelli quickly ruled out a problem with its tyres and Magnussen sat out the second session as Renault investigated the issue."We investigated the problem at the end of the first session but the problem came from the suspension and we had a lot of damage on the car," said Vasseur."It was much better for us to stay in the garage for the second session...
