5 place grid penalty for Hamilton in China

Chinese Grand Prix – Mercedes have confirmed that reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton will have his Chinese Grand Prix hampered by a 5 place grid penalty, as a result of changing his gearbox. Hamilton’s gearbox sustained damage at the Bahrain Grand Prix a fortnight ago. 'This weekend is going to be tough,' Hamilton said on Instagram alongside a picture of fans welcoming him at the Shanghai airport. 'I will start with a five-place grid penalty due to a gearbox change but because of you guys I feel energised, motivated, and confident that we can regain ground lost.'
