Elimination-style qualifying could return in 2017

Formula One: After the FIA, Bernie Ecclestone and team bosses agreed on reverting to the 2015-style qualifying for next week's Chinese Grand Prix, the ‘unsuccessful' elimination-style qualifying could return for 2017 with all the rule changes.  F1 Hub understands that all 11 teams wrote a letter to the FIA, Ecclestone and the sport's commercial rights holder: CVC to bring back the old qualifying format for the Chinese Grand Prix after the ‘musical chairs' elimination-style qualifying had gone terribly wrong for two consecutive races.
