Aggregate qualy put to vote

F1's qualifying format is being put to a vote again on Thursday, with a system of aggregate times the latest alternative put forward to the little-loved elimination system. For the second time in three weeks, teams are discussing a move away from the format of 90-second eliminations, which again came in for heavy criticism at the Bahrain GP having already proved unpopular on its debut in Australia. The FIA is resisting teams' requests to return to the 2015 system, with the governing body instead proposing a new format whereby a driver's position in each knockout session is determined by adding together their two fastest lap times.
