Rosberg claims dominant victory in Bahrain as rivals falter

Rosberg remained on top, winning today at the Sakhir Circuit in a busy race from the first corner. Hamilton struggled, finishing third after a first lap collision with William's Valterri Bottas. Sebastian Vettel never had the chance to make an impression as his Ferrari engine dramatically blew up on the formation lap.  The much-criticised ‘elimation qualifiying’ remained for the Bahrain GP, leading to another disappointing grid line-up, with Hamilton on pole, followed by Rosberg and the Ferrari’s behind.
