FIA requested extra tyres for qualifying

– FIA President Jean Todt says that extra tyres were requested for the final segment of qualifying this weekend, but official supplier Pirelli could not ready them in time.Formula 1's new live knockout system was criticised in Australia but a unanimous agreement to scrap it could not be met after the event and it has been retained for Bahrain.Todt addressed media at the Sakhir circuit on Saturday afternoon and commented that while he was happy with Q1 and Q2, the final session needs revising."After Melbourne, we weren't worried about Q1 and Q2," said Todt."That wasn't bad.
