Magnussen to start Bahrain GP from pit lane
Kevin Magnussen will be forced to start the Bahrain Grand Prix from the pit lane as punishment for failing to stop at the weighbridge during second free practice. The Renault driver, who was 16th fastest in FP2, ran into trouble with the stewards right at the end of the session when he was called to the weighbridge, only to miss it. As a result of the breach in regulation, Magnussen will be consigned to the pit-lane for the start of the race. “The driver failed to stop for weighing during P2 when signalled to do so by the red traffic light, the car was not returned to the FIA garage and work was undertaken.
