Rosberg stays on top as Button impress

Nico Rosberg and Mercedes retained his advantage as the floodlights fell in Bahrain, with team-mate Lewis Hamilton unable to get on strives with the German driver, however all eyes were on the McLaren of Jenson Button who was a surprise third place behind the Silver Arrow cars.  A driver error by Sebastian Vettel meant a precise Mercedes to Ferrari comparison could not be established, and it would not be until the final practice session where the gap between the two teams could be established. However, without doubt Mercedes look to be in one class of their own, unless Ferrari are hiding some superior pace. However, it was a sad end to Sebastian Vettel's session where a wheel nut issue...
