Rosberg starts Bahrain weekend on top

Australian Grand Prix winner Nico Rosberg continued on his elan by topping the first session at Bahrain, comfortably outpacing his team mate Lewis Hamilton, who himself was also more than a second quicker than Kimi Räikkonen in the closest Ferrari. Sebastian Vettel crucially opted to not run the soft tyres, instead completing just 14 laps on the medium tyre and ending up in 11th place. He was however the fastest runner on the medium tyres.
