Lewis Hamilton: “We need more mechanical grip and less aero”
Lewis Hamilton believes making Formula 1 cars five seconds faster will not improve the show, and believes making cars less aero-dependant would make racing better. The Mercedes AMG PETRONAS driver and triple Formula 1 World Champion does not believe there should be any more involvement in rule making for drivers than there currently is, but feels that more mechanical grip on top of the reduced aero would make the on-track racing more exciting for the fans rather than what the FIA is planning to introduce in 2017. “There's been a lot of talk about the rules and whether the drivers should be more involved in decision making,” said Hamilton ahead of this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix....
