Ecclestone sides with F1 drivers on state of sport
Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone says he agrees with drivers that the rules structure is the sport is wrong and that the time has come for change. The Grand Prix Drivers' Association published an open letter on Wednesday urging reform of F1 as it suggested its governance processes were 'ill-structured' and 'obsolete'. And although many of the current bodies – like the F1 Strategy Group – were put in place by Ecclestone, he accepts that they are not doing the sport any good.
