Force India against qualifying u-turn

– Force India deputy team boss Bob Fernley has revealed that the outfit was against scrapping Formula 1's new-for-2016 qualifying format and returning to the previous system.Formula 1 came under fire for the new qualifying format, in which drivers were eliminated at 90-second intervals in each session, with most track action occurring in the early minutes.Ahead of the race, Formula 1 collectively agreed to immediately return to the older qualifying set-up, used from 2006-2015, but Fernley feels that such a move was premature."Part of the reason the qualifying [change] was done was the race," Fernley told Autosport."How can you make that decision if you have not even...
