Vibrations Lead to Ericsson Retirement

Australian Grand Prix – Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson was forced to retire from the Australian Grand Prix on lap 39 because of vibrations on the left rear. The Swede received a drive-through penalty following the restart after the red flag period to recover Fernando Alonso and Esteban Guiterrez’s cars. The team were still working on the car at the 15-second warning signal in the pit lane which is in breach of safety regulations.
