Grid penalty for Valtteri Bottas

Australian Grand Prix – Williams' Valtteri Bottas has been given a five place grid penalty for the first race of the year. Bottas, who qualified 11th on Saturday, required a gearbox change after the session. As this is in breach of the regulations, which state that a gearbox has to complete six consecutive events, he will take a five place grid penalty and will start from P16. The Williams team was also investigated by the race stewards for failing to provide a completed suspension setup sheet as required, but have only picked up a reprimand for the transgression.
